For over 40 years, Hotel Rotwand in Bolzano have been organizing group travels to Bolzano in South Tyrol.
Thanks to the experience gained during all these years, our family run hotel is the right solution for an unforgettable holiday.

Moreover, Hotel Rotwand ***s is an ideal starting point for all your trips and excursions to various parts in South Tyrol, but also for day trips to the Garda lake and the city of Trento. The vicinity to the centre of Bolzano and the highway exit “Bolzano Sud” allows you to reach all your destinations both by bike. You will find a big parking place for both motorbikes and bikes at our hotel.

Special typical dinner from only South Tyrolean products with South Tyrolean bacon, barley soup, slaughter platter, apple strudel, South Tyrolean donuts, chestnuts and grape must. We offer this menu in autumn from September to mid-November. On request we can also organize a solo entertainer or a band.

Wine tasting in the Hotel Rotwand *** s

We organize a wine tasting for you directly on our sun terrace or in the South Tyrolean parlor. 4 authentic wines from South Tyrol, with shake bread and bacon are served and explained by the junior chef and sommelier. There are a few funny stories and the evening can start with a good mood.

Cellar tour of a renowned wine cellar on the South Tyrolean Wine Road

Look over the shoulders of the cellar master. Visiting a winery in South Tyrol is almost a must. Afterwards there is of course a wine tasting directly in the cellar.

Barbecue evening on the Schneiderwiesen

On request, we would be happy to organize a great barbecue afternoon for you on the Schneiderwiesen. It is a small alp with a large meadow and lots of forest, in the middle of horses and rabbits. There is grilling and dancing with music and dance. We accompany you personally.

Afternoon around the apple

Laives is the apple city of South Tyrol. We organize an apple-related afternoon for you. Visit an apple production, apple cultivation. Taste apple juice and special apple varieties.

Aperitif reception on the sun terrace or directly in the garden

Drink fresh, fruity aperitifs, along with small snacks, olives and chips. If the weather is nice, we can do this directly in our hotel garden.

Guided city tours

Visit the city of Bozen, Meran, Brixen or Sterzing with a professional city tour. We organize the city tours for you and you decide where and how long you want to visit.

Guided tour through the Dolomites

We would be happy to organize a guided tour through the South Tyrolean mountains, a large or small Tolomite tour or just a selected alpine pasture. A mountain guide will accompany you and adapt the tour for you so that it is easy for everyone to do.

Ski clothing with the in-house ski instructor

We accompany you to a ski area of your choice. The junior boss himself is a ski instructor and knows his way around the Dolomites very well. He accompanies you, and on request he also gives tips and tricks for even better skiing. In the surroundings of Laives-Bozen there are various ski areas that are about 25 minutes to 1 hour away. We will also help with daily weekly tickets and tour selection.

Special menus in the Hotel Rotwand *** s

We are happy to organize individually selected menus for you. Whether game specialties, tasting menus (food + wine) or candlelight dinners, it will be a pleasure for us. We have a very well-coordinated team in the kitchen (Chef Sigi has been with us for over 28 years) and personal service in the restaurant.

Tasting menu:

The tasting menu includes 5 courses from fine South Tyrolean / Italian cuisine. For this we serve a suitable wine for each course, which we can choose from over 120 eticket ranges. It will be an unforgettable evening with candlelight.

Apple menu:

A menu with an apple theme in Laives / South Tyrol. We serve a 4-course menu with South Tyrolean apple sparkling wine as an aperitif. Apple is processed with every course.

Tyrolean menu:

A 3-course menu with South Tyrolean dishes and South Tyrolean products. In addition, a solo entertainer or a 3-4 man band plays.

How to get to the hotel:

From the A22 Bozen Süd motorway exit, drive in the direction of Leifers / Auer, take the first exit after the tunnel and drive towards Steinmannwald Berg / Seit at the roundabout. After 400 meters you can easily reach the hotel by bus.
