Christmas markets in South Tyrol

The traditional Christmas market of Bolzano is situated on the Piazza Walther near to the famous arcades and the historical city centre, illuminated for the occasion by thousands of lights. In addition to the big market, you will also find some stands in the little town streets, such as, at the Piazza del Comune, Piazza del Grano and the Campofranco park.

On the side of Piazza Walther, you will find the wonderful Campofranco park with its hidden courtyard. The magic atmosphere created by the decorations as well as the garden are perfect to spend some relaxing hours listening to music, or enjoying South Tyrolean culinary delicacies.

The Christmas market of Merano is situated along the Cure Promenade. 80 stands, disposed on the two sides of the Passirio river and on the Piazza Terme, expect you with different traditional products and various gift proposals…..Don’t miss the Piazza Teatro and the Kurhaus.

The Christmas market in Bressanone is situated in one of the most beautiful squares in South Tyrol. The wonderfully decorated stands near to the cathedral of Bressanone, offer you various specialities from all over South Tyrol. Visit the Museum at the Palazzo Vescovile: it is completely dedicated to the 800 years old Christmas crib tradition.

Enjoy the home made products at the Christmas market in Brunico. On weekends, various bands will perform on the main city square and will offer you an entertaining music program.
