Every season in South Tyrol is perfect to organize excursions and hikes to our beautiful mountains.

From the Hotel Rotwand, we recommend you:

  • the Alta Via of Laives, excursion that brings you along the mountain to the village of Seit. Wonderful view on the Adige valley, Renon and the Dolomites.
  • nice hike to the mountain village of Nova Ponente or to the Chapel of San Pietro (Peterköfele). Enjoy the view on the whole Adige valley.
  • Laives is also starting point for the excursion to Pietralba, the most visited pilgrim site in South Tyrol.
  • winter excursions: discover the magic of the snow – covered landscapes through marked paths in the woods. Along the way, you will find various restaurants or traditional mountain huts, where to relax and taste unique specialities of the South Tyrolean cuisine.

Worth seeing is also the Natural Park of Trodena and the excursion paths of the Dolomites.
